Privacy Policy

This policy explains what 52Hertz collects, why it is used, how long it is kept and how you can exercise your rights.

1. Controller

The controller is 52Hertz, Paris, France. Privacy requests: privacy@52hertz.app. General support: support@52hertz.app.

2. Data we collect

We collect account identifiers such as email or phone number through Firebase Auth.

We collect profile data: first name, age or date of birth, city, postal code, country, gender, people you are looking for, distance preferences and photos.

During onboarding, the app may record audio and video. The raw recording is automatically deleted after analysis. We keep the user transcript, timing metrics and structured features useful to the profile.

We keep a derived behavioral profile: relational style, communication rhythm, dominant values, sensitive points, life context and speaking style.

We also collect technical data: server logs, IP address for a limited period, device identifiers, FCM/APNs push token and events required for safety.

In-app purchases are processed through RevenueCat. We keep transaction ID, product type and subscription state. We do not receive card details.

3. Purposes

Data is used to create the account, verify age, generate the profile, select candidates, produce simulations, display reports, open chat after mutual consent, send notifications and secure the service.

Reports, blocks and negative feedback may be used to moderate the service and avoid unwanted future proposals.

4. Legal bases

Depending on the processing, we rely on contract performance, consent, legitimate interest in safety and abuse prevention, or applicable legal obligations.

Consent can be withdrawn where the processing relies on it, including optional notifications and optional processing.

5. Processors

We use OpenAI for voice, text and profile/report generation; Google Cloud for hosting and storage; Firebase for authentication and notifications; RevenueCat for purchases.

These providers process data under contractual instructions.

6. Transfers outside the EU

Some providers, including OpenAI, may process data in the United States. These transfers are governed by a Data Processing Agreement and Standard Contractual Clauses where required.

We limit transferred data to what is necessary for the service.

7. Retention

Account and profile data are kept while you use the service. After 12 months without login, the account may be automatically deleted.

Raw interview videos are deleted after analysis. Technical logs are kept for a limited period needed for safety and diagnostics.

When an account is deleted, data is deleted or anonymized unless a legal obligation or safety need requires otherwise.

8. Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, portability, objection or restriction. You may also withdraw consent when the processing relies on it.

In the app: Profile → Export my data or Profile → Delete my account. You may also email privacy@52hertz.app.

9. Complaints

You may file a complaint with the French CNIL at www.cnil.fr. We invite you to contact us first so we can handle the request quickly.

10. Update

Last updated: 10 May 2026. We may update this policy to reflect service or legal changes.
